Network for a Great Cause with PRSA Silicon Valley and IABC Silicon Valley

Please join the Silicon Valley chapters of PRSA and IABC to support Second Harvest Food Bank in San Carlos Monday, November 16.  

What:  We’ll be sorting, inspecting and repackaging thousands of pounds of food to help Second Harvest get ready for their busy holiday time of year. 
Where:  Second Harvest Food Bank – 1051 Bing Street, San Carlos, CA.   
When:  Monday, Nov. 16 - 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  We will also organize a post-event location for those who want to continue the fun (with a no host cash bar). 
 
Registration:  To reserve your spot, a $10 fee will be charged.  This is to ensure that we can meet our commitment of bringing at least 25 volunteers to this event, and PRSA and IABC will donate the proceeds to Second Harvest.  You are also welcome to bring canned goods to the event as an additional donation.

Important information: 
About Second Harvest Food Bank – San Carlos: Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties is a private non-profit organization that collects and distributes more than 35 million pounds of food each year to low-income children, adults and seniors.  The food bank currently serves an average of 200,000 individuals each month; the majority of which are families with dependent children.

We will be sorting in the Second Harvest warehouse, which may be cool, so please dress appropriately.  For safety and sanitary reasons, long pants are required and tank tops are not permitted.  Sneakers, work shoes or boots are required. No heels, open-toed shoes or sandals are permitted in the warehouse. Please leave purses, jewelry and other valuables at home or locked in your car trunk. Necklaces and long earrings pose a safety concern in the warehouse.
