We are looking for a creative, experienced and self-motivated Communications Manager to play a key role in taking Opera to the next level. 100 million monthly users is a good start, but we have only just begun …

You are a tactically strong communications expert with excellent writing, pitching and presentation skills.

You are also an experienced strategic thinker who can further develop and customize Opera’s messaging platform.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute major PR campaigns.
• Build relationships with bloggers, journalists, analysts and other influencers.
• Plan and execute analyst relations programs.
• Compose outstanding press releases and other marketing materials.
• Plan and manage Opera's presence at industry events and trade shows in the United States.
• Counsel Opera's engineering, sales, product management and executive departments on best PR practices.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience with PR/marketing
• Very strong English writing skills

• Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
• Strong interest in the Web and what it means to the world
• The ability to thrive and execute as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• A friendly smile
• Bachelor’s degree
• Proven experience with social media, viral and/or Internet marketing
