Communications Specialist
As the communications specialist, you will assist with development of communications materials focused on customer audiences including product launches, e-newsletters, promotions, email marketing campaigns, graphic design projects and urgent communications. You will also play a role in supporting our customer-facing events. With these projects, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance the operational effectiveness of the marketing and communications teams by managing the communications to our various customer segments. You’ll ensure high levels of service to internal customers of the communications team within the organization as well as external customers via timely communications and strong execution of marketing and communications initiatives.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Assist with communications planning and execution for ongoing campaigns and projects for our various customer segments including email marketing, web marketing efforts, printed collateral development, product launch plans, and presentations.
- Provide support for communication strategy at industry events and customer conferences.
- Manage legal review of customer communications materials.
- Support design and production projects with creative resources.
- Assist with executing urgent communication requests.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of marketing communications, PR, advertising, or business writing experience (agency and/or in-house including internships for recent grads).
- 4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism, English or related field.
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal; excellent ability to create communications materials for both online and offline environments.
- Extremely polished writing skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities in a fast-paced marketing environment, constantly striving for excellence.
- Ability to work with a variety of internal and external customers, varying in seniority and work experiences.
- Experience working with executives, other marketing professionals, designers, writers, and production vendors.
- Ability to work individually or with a team to drive communications campaigns from concept through completion including budget and vendor management.
- Development and maintenance of internal operational procedures, processes, and measurement tools that support external communications programs.
- Experience with Dreamweaver, html and Adobe design software suite a plus.
