Reporting to Saba's SVP Corporate Marketing, the Public Relations Manager works with the team to develop and execute the organization's communications strategy, ensuring proper alignment with marketing goals. The Public Relations Manager will play a key strategic role on a variety of initiatives, while working diligently under pressure.

To be considered, candidate must be self-motivated, enjoy working collaboratively and, most importantly, have the desire to help us grow our media presence.

The ideal Public Relations Manager candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of PR agency or in-house experience, excellent writing and communications skills, and experience in traditional and non-traditional PR, as well as social media. Candidate must have strong background in media relations, deep connections in the industry, and proven media results. As a PR Manager, you will be asked to think strategically and provide creative solutions. You will have an opportunity to be a part of dynamic and growing team of internal public relations strategists.

Desired Skills & Experience
The Public Relations Manager will have the following core proficiencies:

  • 3-5 years of public relations experience in software product and services technology industries, including agency management and on-line PR experience is a MUST
  • Ability to thrive in an extremely fast-paced environment with team members across a number of different disciplines and geographies
  • Proven ability to contribute to overall strategy and planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism or related field required
  • Experienced writer and editor
  • Smart, aggressive, creative, proactive, innovative risk-taker, multi-tasker, creative and strategic thinking ability 
  • Strong organizational, planning, delegation, mentoring and coaching skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the competitive software industry marketplace, an innovative mindset and the goal to continuously raise the bar
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong media relations skills to develop tactical strategic plans and campaigns, research and develop hyper-targeted media lists, press releases, story pitch development, editorial calendars

Responsibilities

  • Generate significant level of positive media, national press. Develop and maintain strong relationships with media/and other external stakeholders to ensure favorable media coverage
  • Aid with creation, development and implementation of company publicity plans, media events, media documents and PR initiatives
  • Build up strong social media strategy and plans
  • Develop comprehensive award and speaking programs
  • Provide high-level strategic PR counsel on issues and programs to Saba key executives.
